The Keys to Making a Successful Terrarium
Workshop on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at The Aquatorium from 10am to 1 pm
This hands-on workshop is for all ages and will include how to decide on the type of terrarium, theme and scenes to complement the plants, container soil, drainage and maintenance to guarantee a long lasting and healthy terrarium. Participants can bring their own container and objects for their terrarium or select from those provided by the presenters. The cost is $10 for children and $15 for adults.
Sandy Appleby is a master gardener, teacher, artist who paints with the Duneland Plein Air Painters and a mental health counselor/volunteer for disaster mental health responses. Margaret Scissom is a counselor, gardener and seamstress who brings her creative talents and love of plants to the workshop. Together they will help participants design a container for themselves or as a gift that reflects the wonders of the miniature terrarium world.
